General Radio 1862-B Megohmmeter
The General Radio megger that we estimate to be mid 50s came out of the General Electric plant locally, The unit was cosmetically in great shape with just a bit of dirt to clean up and because it is a completely sealed box the internals look brand new and had that great vintage electronics smell, This megger got new filter capacitors and a few other capacitors that were no longer reliable. After a over night warm up to stabilize it puts out exactly 500v and 50V depending on the switch position and also does not deflect even on the highest range setting with no connection on the unknown. After a few adjustments this unit is accurate within 5%.
